INSA Toulouse, a leading multidisciplinary and international engineering school, is recognized for the excellence of its five-year post-baccalaureate training, which attracts over 2500 high-level students. INSAT hosts several research laboratories and in particular The Toulouse Biotechnology Institute (TBI), an interdisciplinary research laboratory of 320 employees, which is accredited by both the CNRS and INRAE. TBI holds a unique research position at the interface between life sciences and process sciences, covering enzyme discovery and engineering, systems and synthetic biology, fermentation, (bio)chemical engineering, and environmental assessment, and produces more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and about 10 patents per year.
