A summary of a productive year – and new adventures for the upcoming one
As 2023 comes to an end, it’s time to rest and reflect on our progress this year
So many things have happened in these past 12 months… It’s time to catch our breaths!
We started the year strong – in February we had our first review meeting with the European Commission, gathering all partners in an online meeting to discuss the progress of our project. Fortunately, this first reporting was very successful, and we’ve kept our great pace for the rest of 2023.
In the following months, our team was busy traveling around and participating in events and conferences, where we shared and received useful knowledge from the scientific community. Later in the year, we even participated in outreach activities in the European Researcher’s Night in Madrid. We shared some information about microbes and handed out an outreach material we’ve recently prepared for children – stay tuned to find out more in the upcoming months!
Towards the end of the year, we met in person in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria for our 5th General Assembly. As well as enjoying the sunny weather, we discussed the progress of our project and set the course for future developments, planning our next steps as the project embarks on its latter half.
The excellent collaboration with our sibling projects under the Cluster of Enzymes for Greener Products also moved forward. We continue sharing the latest information from the field of enzymology in our joint newsletter – if you are interested, don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date!!
There are still goals to achieve, but 2023 has definitely been a successful year. In 2024 we expect moving forward with our main purpose – enhancing the power of enzymes as sustainable tools for industrial processes.
Receive very warm greetings from RadicalZ. We wish you happy holidays and a prosperous New Year!
